Hi, I'm Alex a year old with a passion for IT and Music Technology.
Welcome to my digital portfolio, where I document my education, career journey, and the passion projects I've built over the years.
Growing up in secondary school and sixth form, I was always the "nerdy kid" who focused on IT—which unfortunately made me a target for bullying. But I stayed true to what I loved, leaned into my passions, and turned them into a career. Today, I'm proud to work as an IT Technician, doing what I love every day.
My journey has allowed me to dive deep into hands-on tech both inside and outside the classroom. While at secondary school and sixth form, I got to experience plenty of extra things that linked back to IT, such as developing my Unity game, Population Blast. Later, I decided to pursue Music Technology at college, where I pushed myself to achieve the highest possible grade: 2 Distinctions.
This website isn't just a resume, though. It's a living archive of my favorite projects. Check out the dedicated sections to see what I'm working on, from my ongoing Home Lab/Server setup to Flint Coal, a custom Discord bot that has been an incredible learning experience over the years.
At the Buckinghamshire UTC now know as Aylesbury UTC I spent 4 years learning IT this includes Information technology as well as computing and Digital media, I did both GCSE and Six Form at the UTC and learned lots of skill with helped me get my Job at the school. With the UTC being specialized in all things computing while I was there I got do work with the school sponsors on projects like my Unity game Propultion blast and my web skills with Jetfruit as well as Get a licence to Netcad from CISCO.
At Bucks College Group Amersham, I did a 2 year Extended diploma in music technology which was a tone of fun which I achieved 2 distinctions from University of Arts London. While I was at the collage I made a few songs which you can find on Spotify and a web portfolio to document as my cause work. I got to use a mix of both analogue equipment as well as digital plugins and Dolby Atmos workflows with experiences in both live and recorded environments.
From 2025 to Present, I have worked as a Junior IT Technician for Chiltern Way Academy Trust, managing IT systems and servers across three Buckinghamshire schools. Alongside core administration, I utilized my Linux skills to develop an affordable, custom eSports server infrastructure. Integrated with Microsoft Azure logins, this solution cut overheads and saved the Trust £15,000 a year.
From 2020 to 2024, I worked as a Lifeguard and Recreational Assistant, ensuring the safety of public, lane, and club swimmers. I managed safety across two 2-meter deep pools featuring lazy rivers and bubble tubs. My role focused heavily on risk prevention, rapidly responding to incidents, administering first aid, and promoting safe swimming practices.
From 2017 to 2020, I worked as a Newspaper Delivery Boy for a local Budgens, managing two early-morning rounds before school to fund my first computer builds. I demonstrated strong reliability and work ethic by consistently covering extra shifts and taking over additional delivery routes whenever other staff members were unavailable.
Flyntcoal was a Discord bot that played YouTube, Spotify, URL's and files but recently (December 2022) the bot was met with a YouTube tack down and with 98% of music requested coming from YouTube the bot become not very functional.
